CERTOMAT® CTplus


The CERTOMAT® CTplus is designed for cultivation of mammalian cells in shake flasks and multi-well plates under stringent control of temperature, CO2 concentration and humidity.





CERTOMAT® CTplus


The first CO2 incubation shaker specifically designed for cultivation of mammalian cells.

The new CERTOMAT CTplus fulfils all requirements for the cultivation of mammalian cells. CO2 concentration, temperature and humidity are kept constant due to advanced insulation and sealing.
The isolation of the incubation chamber from the mechanical drive and control units prevents corrosion otherwise caused by the formation of carbonic acid.

  • Optimal control of CO2 level, temperature and humidity
    Major cell properties like growth rate, protein production rate, intracellular pH and apoptosis are influenced by CO2 level, temperature and humidity. With stringent control mechanisms and very fast recovery of all parameters after door opening, the CERTOMAT® CTplus ensures optimal growth conditions.

  • Innovative design for highest security
    When using standard bacterial shakers for mammalian cell cultivation the formation of carbonic acid may result in corrosion of the drive unit. The incubation chamber of the CERTOMAT® CTplus is isolated from mechanical drive and control units, thereby preventing such damage and reducing service costs. The smooth surface of the stainless steel interior is very easy to clean thereby protecting valuable cell cultures from contamination.

  • Easy programming of all relevant parameters
    With the help of a touch screen, the working parameters time, speed, temperature, illumination (optional) can be easily programmed, linear or in cycles. 20 individual programs, each consisting of up to four steps and one pre-step, can be stored for complex applications. The CERTOMAT® CTplus is equipped for remote control and connection to MFCS/win software for data acquisition via Ethernet.

  • Different shaker versions and a wide range of accessories
    To offer the optimal incubation shaker for your purposes the CERTOMAT® CTplus is available in two versions with different shaking amplitudes. Optional accessories including support frames of different height and a photosynthetic illumination unit add considerably to the instrument’s versatility.
